The Ghost Key West crew in the early days. We may have changed a little. The obsession with strange Key West has not.
KEY WEST GHOSTS SINCE 1996
We’ve Been Chasing
Key West’s Ghosts
for 30 Years
Sloan’s Key West Ghost Tours began in 1996 with a simple idea: uncover the real stories behind Key West’s haunted history and share them in the places where they happened.
A lot has changed since those early ghost tours, but the spirit of Sloan’s Key West Ghost Tours hasn’t. We’re still locally owned by the Sloans, still fascinated by the unexplained, and still having fun chasing strange stories around the island.
Today, our experiences take guests inside some of Key West’s most unusual places, from an after-dark encounter with Robert the Doll to a paranormal investigation of a historic firehouse and a night watching the skies above the Florida Keys.
Real stories. Remarkable places.
No manufactured scares.
Most of the Ghost Key West crew. Small team. Pretty much family.
A Small Team That
Loves What We Do
There are only seven of us at Sloan’s Key West Ghost Tours, and we like it that way.
We’ve worked together for years, and somewhere along the way we became family. Everyone brings something different to the mix, but we all share the same fascination with Key West, its history, and the strange things that happen here.
We don’t hand someone a script and send them out the door. Our guides know these stories and these places, and they genuinely enjoy sharing them with the people who come out with us.
We’re lucky to do something we love in a place we love.
What Makes Sloan’s Ghost Tours Different?
We’ve spent 30 years finding better ways to share Key West’s strange history
without turning it into a mass-market corporate haunted attraction.
Real Places
We take you inside the places connected to the stories, including Fort East Martello and the historic Key West Firehouse.
Original Research
Much of what we share comes from years of digging through archives, interviewing people who were there, and investigating these locations ourselves.
No Manufactured Scares
No actors. No jump scares. No staged effects. If something strange happens, it wasn’t arranged by us.
